Eat More Kale project coming along nicely

Last month, I posted that I had taken on the redesign of Eat More Kale. Eat More Kale is a locally famous meme throughout the Northeast and the Pacific Northwest. Considering that these parts of America have the highest concentration of “ecotopians” (a clustered demographics/geographics term), it’s no wonder that such a positive, simple, ecological message resonates in these regions. Kale really is good for you. You should eat more of it (I like it sauteed in butter and garlic). Inferences are to be made about farming and food production, and about our purchasing choices, but nothing overt that beats you over the head and turns you off. It’s all good.

So how’s it going? In a word, fantastic. Bo Muller-Moore, A.K.A. the “Eat More Kale Guy” is a pleasure to work with. You can see how things are progressing at the Eat More Kale Updtates blog, where every time a chunk of work is completed, you can see it or at least read about it. Bo and Eat More Kale fans around the world are posting their comments and reactions to new design and new shirts. So far everything seems on track to complete the site within the alotted two-month timeframe.

Blogging the production process itself has been immensely rewarding. I’m going to write more about this subject later, so keep checking in!
