And no, it’s not OpenOffice (although OO is cool). It’s Writely, an ajaxed web-based word processor, created by people who appear to have learned all the right lessons. Big fat clue number one: A comment box right on the homepage! It has this caption: “If this isn’t what you’re looking for, can you please take a moment to tell us why?” The design is ultra-fresh. As Sifl & Olly would say, “crescent fresh.”
You can write documents for nearly end use: print or web. You can share docs with others. You can collaborate. You can undo edits made by others, if necessary. It’s simply brilliant.
Oh, and of course they have a blog.

Here’s a great blog called Read/Write Web with a bunch of tasty office web apps, like this one. I guess everybody has forgotten about Yahoo: calendar and notes in addition to email and address book. Pretty cool and it’s been around a while.
