I really like Bloglines, but there’s one irritating hiccup that’s driving me nuts. If I check a post to save and read later, it counts as an unread post in the sidebar. If I wait too long, that post drops below the threshold of posts per feed displayed, and I can no longer get to [...]

Just spotted this wonderful little bit from Jason Calacanis, founder of Weblogs, Inc.:
Your biggest critics are often your best source of advice. In fact, I always tell folks that your critics are basically giving you high-priced consulting for free. You should be thankful for their effort in helping make you a better person/company/service/etc.
One thing that’s [...]

Those who know me know I am a Tom Peters fan. From time to time, he conducts interviews with really outstanding people and posts them on his website. One of the newest interviews is with Eamonn Kelly, author of the book, Powerful Times. I came away from this interview deeply impressed by Eamonn’s astutely imagined [...]

David Wolfe over at Ageless Marketing has coined the term ironic management to describe the counterintuitive management style of what he calls firms of endearment. David’s one of the most astute people I’ve ever read on these issues; I suggest you head over there and start reading. There’s enough mind-blowing material to last you a [...]

I was all happy and doing the Snoopy dance about getting dashboarded, and seeing my traffic grow to around 700+ visits a day. Thank you to everyone who downloads either of my free WordPress themes.
But it gets better: my other blog, Google Video of the Day, has been added to the blogroll of the [...]

Earlier, in Part One, I wrote about belief, how it happens and how it’s expressed; and also about the existence of this man or men who has or have come to be known to us under the name Jesus Christ.
Belief is completely irrational and has more to do with conditioning and indoctrination than anything else, [...]

Shel and Robert will soon release what may arguably the most importnat book on blogging for 2006. Robert links to Shel talking about why blogs cannot be “integrated” into your marketing. Here’s the point that marketing/advertising/public relations types continue to misunderstand: Blogging isn’t marketing, advertising, or public relations. No. Blogging is not even some new [...]

I’ve been dashboarded! My free WordPress themes Wheatgrass and Sapphire have been linked to by Weblog Tools Collection, so they’re showing up on everyone’s WordPress dashboards when they log in to their admin pages. This puts a smile on my face!

Just want to remind everyone that my friend Bo has this awesome gig where he makes hand-printed shirts and sells them on his site, where he has a blog. The shirts are very unique and sport an eco-friendly message. The colors are brilliant. Bo is a really nice guy who deserves your business.

Found this here on project management. I teach general project management and have managed web projects over the years, and this is some of the most direct and best advice I’ve read—and it’s only one chapter from the book. The focus is clearly on IT-type projects, but it looks as though there’s good info here [...]

There’s a t-shirt or whatever that says, “I found Jesus: He was under the couch the whole time.” Right now I feel a little like that. All my adult life I’ve been railing at how ridiculous it is to believe in any religion. Globalism has truly shown us that our religion is other people’s mythology [...]

Yes, I am a Harry Potter nerd. I never go to movies unless it’s something deserving of the whole movie-going experience: Outrageous ticket prices, the excited press of the crowd, the smell of outrageously-priced popcorn, the thrill of midnight see-it-before-everyone-else-does movie premiers, ginormous screen, ear-splitting Dolby surround-sound, and stadium seating. And, [...]
