Some Guy We Trapped Into a Corner & The Vermizzle aka Caite Felt {The Vermizzle}
This guy doesn’t have a blog, he was just there. That’s the thing about the Langdon St. Cafe. People just come and go and gather around you, often by necessity because all the seating is already sat in. I think he had a good time. Next to him is the Vermizzle (awesome blog name!). Fer shizzle. You know, even when I was young, I never could talk like a young person. And it’s not even that I’m old, now, or anything, it’s just… well, it feels stupid on me. Like Bill Murray in that orange camo shirt in Lost in Translation, but now I’m rambling.
Jeff Sawyer Soyer {Alphecca} & Patricia Hejny {Pat Political}
My first thought was: So that’s what a gay gun nut looks like…. You know. In case I see another one. Jeff, it was great to meet you. I totally support the second amendment, even though I do not own (or even know how to use) a gun. I dig science fiction, too. But not as much as I dig your shirt in that picture! Pat, I didn’t have a chance to really speak with you, but you seemed like a delightful woman. Maybe we’ll meet again soon.
Morgan Brown {Norsehorse’s Home Turf}
To me, Morgan is the heart and soul of Vermont blogging. Can’t put my finger on why, exactly, but I think it’s true. I’ve known him longer than any other blogger in Vermont. We’ve emailed back and forth and blogged about each other a couple times, but never met until today. Well met, Morgan.
Doug Cadmus {Bloggle} & Bill Simmon {Candleblog}
Doug and Bill I didn’t get to speak with, either. I love the cafe and all, but I noticed Doug wasn’t drinking their coffee. Note to self: Bill does not sell candles.
Phillip Baruth {Vermont Daily Briefing} and Rick & Sarah Scully {Terrapin Gardens}
It’s cool to meet someone in person whose voice you recognize instantly on the radio. Comments, Phillip, comments! Blogging is a two-way street, a dialogue, a conversation. I know I’ll be running into Sarah and Rick again, since they live in Montpelier, as do I.
As I said, more pics coming tomorrow… I didn’t get good pictures of everyone but the rest will be up tomorrow.

On the comments, I know, I know: I see it differently than a lot of other bloggers. But I do publish email that people send, so I have a dialogue going on, of sorts. Send me some commenting on the politics, and you’ll see how quick it winds up on the page.

As it happens despite my better judgement I *did* sample the coffee… and very soon thereafter switched to an oatmeal stout. Nuff said.
Next time I hope to circulate a little better and chat a bit more… I’ve been browsing the blogs of those who were in attendance, and by golly there’s some good stuff out there. Some good stuff right here, too.
