Why I don’t care about podcasts

Update: Over the past months I’ve gotten some good use from several different podcasts, so I’ve had a change of heart! So much so, in fact, that I will eventually be podcasting, myself, and will offer audio versions of some of my posts.

They take too long to make and listen to. Do you know how many feeds I could skim through in the time it takes to listen to one podcast? Writing is faster in both cases. If a podcast has a transcript, I’ll never listen to the recording.

    Totally agree with you on this one. Though I worry that I’m a Luddite because of this belief.

    Nah. Christ, if there ever was a non-Luddite, it’s me. So if I’m not one, then you’re not, either.
