The 5th Key to Better Blogging is better blog monetization. When people think of blog monetization, the first service that comes to mind is Google AdSense.
Google AdSense is a good system, but if your earnings with it are a bit low, you should consider getting paid just for blogging. In order to get paid to blog, you need to sign up with a blog for money service. I’d like to focus on just one particular “get paid to blog” service, which goes by the odd name of Smorty.
Smorty is a blog advertising service that lets you get paid to blog. You choose what you want to blog about in a paid post, so that you can choose topics that are highly relevant to your audience. You get paid once a week with Smorty and posting opportunities are emailed to you. If you don’t respond to an opportunity after 72 hours, it may be offered to another blogger. They don’t pay much–only about $6 a post. I’ve just signed up with them, and I look forward to making a little extra money doing something I’d be doing, anyway. Triple-shot tall breves have to be paid for, after all. As long as the topics are relevant to better blogging, then everybody benefits. Because you can choose your topics, and because they don’t pay much, there’s not much of an opportunity to be a sellout. What I learn from my experience with this can be passed on to you. In a month or two, I will do a full review of my experience with Smorty and let you know what I think of it.

hmm, sounds like a good idea, and like you said you’d be blogging anyway so why not get paid for it!
