My blog is at http://iscatterlings.com

WHay is my blog so great? Well if the truth be told, I am squandering a golden opportunity to be the top Namibian blogger.

Yes, my claim to fame is that I was born in the oldest desert on the planet and there are so few Namibian bloggers. In fact there are less than 10 that I am aware of.

So, why am I not the top blogger yet? ANswer: I need to learn how to blog properly and lead visitors to become subscribers. And this is not my forte'.

So if you can take a peek at the site and tell me what you think I can improve and how, I will do it.

Be well

What's so great about my blog?

It provides information, inspiration and support to women entrepreneurs, giving them greater confidence in themselves and their ability to create sustainable success in their own business.

I also have a wordpress site skdd.wordpress.com as I wanted to compare both sites.
My web log is special as it allows me to release pent up emotions, thoughts and talents. Once they are posted I feel a sense of accomplishment and freedon. The fact that my works, and they do vary, have been accepted and enjoyed has brought me satisfaction plus encouragement to keep letting the world see what I am all about. I have found there is much about the world to love and they love me back. It's great.

@Lisa: Lisa, you are right: it's not all about logos. If you removed the apple logo from an iPod, it still looks like an Apple product. If you slapped the Apple logo on a Dell, you wouldn't be fooling anybody!

If I may make a friendly suggestion: If you're going to be blogging, you should consider shorter sentences and more frequent paragraph breaks, otherwise nobody will want to read what you wrote.

I think that the creative aspect in the form of your brand has to come in both a visual form and an equal written form without using your actual logo and colors - the people behind the brand (We don't need to see the Apple Logo to think of Steve Jobs but we do need to see the Microsoft Symbol to think of Bill Gates). I have started a company blog which is being prepared to be added to my site one of the things that I have started to do is to provide as much creativity in the visual form as in the written form and believe it or not apart from the words and mention of my company name Documents On The Go/DOTG I have removed any sort of branding like my logo, and company colors but instead am reinforcing my branding with other bold visualizations with the use of color and pictures et al to help push the blog and what I am saying. Why am I doing this? Because it will reinforce my message that this blog offers a fun and unique perspective on the world of Administration and hopefully those who read my blog won't necessarily need to see my logo to think of me or my company.

Hope that makes sense....

@Dan: Thanks for the comment! Branding is one powerful way to differentiate, and without creativity, a blog is nothing but a "me-too".

It's all about your brand and how you showcase the topic of your blog to your audience. There are blogs on almost every subject and the only way to differentiate yourself is with creativity.
