Chris Lodge over at Blog Op has brought to my attention a new site called Fechr (pronouced feature), that uses a frame to display your site and expose it to new people. Sites are displayed on the Fechr start page for an entire 24 hours, and they are chosen randomly. Eventually, this is going to be a paid listing, but in order build critical mass with sites to show people and traffic for themselves, they’re giving away slots right now for free.

To get your free slot, all you have to do is write a post about Fechr, just like I’m doing now (oooh, I feel so self-referential! Am I in the echo chamber of the blogosphere, yet?). When you submit your blog, you have to provide the URL of your blog post about Fechr. Simple, yes? Free traffic is free traffic. Fechr is all about self-promotion on the one hand, and finding good stuff to spend your time with on the other hand.

Their interface could use… well, quite a bit of sprucing up, really. But even so, I think this could be a useful service for people. So, go get Fechr’d!
