FreelanceSwitch Reviews Remarkablogger and You Can Too

freelanceswitch.jpgI subscribe to the amazing blog FreelanceSwitch, and last weekend I noticed Jonathan Fields had casually dropped an invitation in a comment on a post there to send in your blog URL to possibly receive a free marketing review. When things like this happen, you gotta figure most people will not go for it, telling themselves things like “I won’t get picked” or they are just too scared to be under the knife. So I jumped on it and sent in my request. A couple days ago, I got a reply from Jonathan saying I’d been accepted and so today you can read the FreelanceSwitch review of Remarkablogger.

Okay, are you back from reading it? If you haven’t subscribed to FreelanceSwitch, I recommend you do. As you can see, they’ve given me tons of great points to think about. I’ll be implementing many of them as soon as I can.

I’m still reeling a little from it (in a good way), but I thought: why not really put my head on the chopping block? Why not ask directly for feedback from my readers? They would have all kinds of immensely valuable points to offer.

So let’s make this into a community project. Have you been a regular reader here and always thought there was something that could be better? Tell me in a comment! Have a suggestion in addition to what Jonathan said at FreelanceSwitch? I want to hear it — leave a comment and tell me!

The title “Remarkablogger” is not just some catchy name I made up. It’s for real. My mission is to rock this blog out and be truly remarkable, so I can help others be remarkabloggers, too. I have only just begun. To grow, you have be willing to take criticism with a thick skin but an open heart and mind.

I know my readers are some of the brightest bloggers out there, so I look forward to your comments/critiques!

My gosh - what a very comprehensive review! I want to thank you for placing your head on the “chopping block” for all of us - I learned so much from this.

I am a subscriber of FreelanceSwitch, but I found this review through your site because I visit your site more often… I find a ton of valuable information on your blog.

For the record, the fact that you are so active in the blogging community (I see your comments on so many of the blogs you read) makes me more likely to recommend your services to one of my clients than from someone at a big giant blog where the authors are less likely to return comments and seem less approachable. :D

Thanks, Christine. My ratio of content-production to commenting/networking is about 2:1 and it’s one of the strategies that has given me a bit of success here.

Well, I found your blog through a link on a marketing blog, and I’m glad I did. I can see I have a lot reading to do. Congratulations on the great review from FreelanceSwitch and thanks for the link. I know a lot of people (online) that would be very interested in subscribing.
