Even so, consider a site like <a href="http://boingboing.net">Boing Boing</a>, which is one of the world's most popular blogs. Most of what they post is basically saying "here is something cool, check it out!" Their critical posts are fewer. Mostly, they are just saying nice things about stuff they really like.
