Would you like an AdSense click-through rate of 30%? No, that’s not a typo. Hardcore Advice on Making Money with AdSense is by Alan Ocab (Grand Start) on Carl Ocab’s blog, a teenager who knows his stuff. I don’t post about AdSense much, but this is so on the money (pun intended) that I figured if I was going to cover something related to blog monetization it had better be good.
Carl’s message is simple. Literally! Or, rather, I should say his message is simplify. As in, extreme simplification. One of the problems in blog design is that bloggers throw everything plus the kitchen sink into their blogs. The result is that ads don’t just blend in, they’re practically hidden, and they have low click-through rates.
