WP Candy
I got an email from Mike Castilla out of the blue the other day telling me about his blog, WP Candy. What a great name! What is WP Candy about? The WP stands for WordPress, of course, so the blog is full of nice themes and reviews and other WordPress-related goodness. Backing all this up is Mike’s WordPress theme design and WordPress development services. And it’s apparent that the guy knows what he’s doing. There is some great “candy” in WP Candy’s design: those little design touches that make such a big difference in the impression and experience you have while visiting the site.
New Technorati
Somebody at Technorati got their head screwed back on right, it seems. I applaud them on two fronts: one, they aren’t afraid to try new things and fail quickly–which means they succeed quickly; and two, they listen and value feedback. The reaction to their changes in the recent past has been nearly unanimously negative. T’rati was trying to be all things to all people and it lost its focus on the bloggers. I lost some faith in them, myself. When was the last time you saw a T’rati tag in a post of mine? Although I may not bring them back, I’m glad to see all is not yet lost for them. They have regained their focus on bloggers. Now all they need to do is lose the butt-ugly banners at the top. It looks like a square peg hammered into round hole.
IttyBiz
I subscribe to Freelance Folder and recently I read a post on there by Naomi Dunford of IttyBiz and I really just instantly loved her style. I checked out her blog and she has just started an online business marketing “class.” The class is a series of posts on marketing. I couldn’t hit the subscribe button fast enough–this is good stuff. IttyBiz just might become your favorite new blog, too.

Hi Michael, and thanks for the kind words. My husband sends his gratitude - reading your very sweet post caused me to stop whining about my cold for at least five minutes.
@Naomi: You’re welcome. Anything to get people to stop whining. That’s JOB SATISFACTION.
Thanks for the post Michael! Really appreciate the kind words. Talk to you later.
