A Big THANK YOU to Guest Bloggers

Here’s a recap of last week’s wonderful guest posts, along with the blogs of those who wrote them:

Monday: 13.2 Blogging Challenges and How to Overcome Them
James Chartrand of Men with Pens wrote about how we can bust through some of the challenges we face as bloggers. Nobody seemed to get that the headline was a joke about all those numbered headlines out there, but that’s okay. :)

Tuesday: What Rock Band Can Teach You About Business Blogging
Naomi Dunford of Itty Biz rocked her way to some great comments in fun post comparing the hit video game Rock Band with blogging. It was a hit!

Wednesday: How Would You Like Your Blog Traffic - Rare or Well Done?
Patricia Mayo of and ComHacker makes our mouths water as she serves up some juicy, sizzling tips on getting blog traffic.

Thursday: When You Are Your Blog’s Brand
Bob Younce of The Writing Journey raises some provocative questions about how we brand our blogs and ourselves. One of the bloggers he wrote about as an example showed up and offered her comments on her situation. This post really made us think!

Friday: What Public Relations 1.0 Teaches Us about Business Blogging
Lid from Blog Well gets old-skool on us, showing how points made by advertising legend David Ogilvy in the 80s are still relevant today for business bloggers. This one sparked some good discussion, too!

Saturday: Knowing Your Way Around the WordPress Write Screen
Joel Williams of Blog Tech Guy Gives us a hand with the WordPress write screen and shows how what we create for titles and pages slugs can benefit our blog’s SEO and other factors. Don’t know what a page slug is? Better go read it, then!

So THANK YOU, EVERYONE who participated in Guest Blogger Week here on Remarkablogger! I’ll definitely be doing this again in the future! I really enjoyed having a change of pace here and providing others with a chance to grow their traffic and audience a bit.

Michael - you are most welcome!

Thanks for giving me this opportunity. It is wonderful to see the conversations taking place.

I am interested in the hardware you used to create the video while driving your car. Can you take a snap shot of the setup?

@ Lid - You’re welcome, and thanks for taking the time!

@ Q - LOL, there is no setup. It’s a Flip Ultra just sitting on my dashboard!

Hey, is that legal? DUDE! PULL OVER!

@ James - I might have to create a blooper video soon! Let’s just say that camera sitting on dashboard + rapid acceleration of vehicle = comedic disaster! :)

    @ James - I second that comment!

@ Michael - Next time you get the urge to film and drive, let me take care of the driving part, yes?

@ Wife - don’t worry, babe. I think the final product isn’t as good as I’d like because of the background noise and other factors. Seemed like a good way to use my commute time, and it was a good experiment, but I don’t think there will be too many more “car casts.”

YOU HAVE A WIFE?!?! Why didn’t you tell me? You’re SO going to get it!!

    ;P

But anywho, it’s Trisha - just wanted to say THANK YOU so very awesomely much for this opportunity… and there’s a minor grammatical issue with “Patricia of and ComHacker.”

    You’re still awesome though ;)

Now I want to be a Remarkablogger guest poster!

  10. Posted April 7, 2008 at 7:21 pm | Permalink

@ Trisha - Error fixed. Thanks for making me have to explain this to my wife. Because of this, we’ve now realized that we love each other more than ever and we’ve decided to stay together!

@ Mark - You can be my boyfriend, how’s that? Don’t worry, man. I’ll do this again sometime, probably on Twitter again.

@Michael - Long distance drinking buddy? Or maybe we’ll both join a MMORPG and kick some butt?

  12. Posted April 7, 2008 at 7:54 pm | Permalink

@ Mark - Oh, fine, BE THAT WAY.

  13. Posted April 7, 2008 at 7:59 pm | Permalink

    @Michael - I know, I know, I’m no fun anymore. :)

  14. Posted April 7, 2008 at 11:41 pm | Permalink

Michael - thanks for the opportunity and thanks again for the “thank you” post. It’s people like you who give bloggers and the “internet community” a good name :) Plus seeing you in a coat whilst driving made me glad I moved to Southern California when I moved to the US!

Michael, you are welcome, welcome, a thousand times welcome.

You’re absolutely right in the video about cross-pollenation, although it my case I’m sure I benefitted more than you. I got a HUGE subscriber boost after the post - my biggest gain in a single day.

And, dude. You’ve got a pair. My wife would have killed me.
