Can You Write a Blog Post in Five Minutes?

by Michael Martine on May 3, 2008 · 5 comments

You can write a blog post in five minutes. I’m doing it now. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Start with your main point and work backwards from that.
  2. Figure out the headline afterwards
  3. Don’t worry about being perfect
  4. Don’t be complete, but let your readers have room to speak in the comments

This is based on something Chris Garrett mentioned in his presentation how write a post in 5 minutes.

Tend to take about 20 minutes per post. Obviously the idea would have been running around in my head for a few days

I tend to aim to create really informative posts and as my blog is targetted at beginners i need to take the time to get my ideas across

So 20 minutes
[Also I am so slow at typing]
