SOBCon 08 Reports – Wendy Piersall

Wendy Piersall speaking at SOBCon 08

Wendy is giving a very heartfelt speech about how she got where she is going from eMoms at home to the new Sparkplugging.

The hardest thing to do give up control in order to grow and scale up.

Getting outside your comfort zone is not pretty but it’s really critical.

Transparency, authenticity, and passion only matter to people because of what’s in it for them. Otherwise, you’re just splatting onto the screen.

In order for her blog to grow, she had to grow with with it, and it was really challenging and scary.

Every day, she would be faced with the internal question of “Who are you to do this? No! Who are you NOT to!”

You’re getting through chapters of a book, but the book never ends.

You only have so much time, you can’t give more time. But you can give more of your SELF.

Hey Michael,
Great to finally meet you at SOBCon, I had a Great time.
And you did a really a fine job of live blogging the event, I don’t know how you can do that and get things so right!
Oh, and I don’t think I was the only one who had a tear in my eye when Wendy broke up in her presentation either. ;-)

@Joe – Thanks, it was great to meet you too. All I did was just take notes in the form of blog posts. I agree that Wendy definitely had a major impact on everyone.

Michael, I am half way through your ebook and it’s an awesome read. Can I ask you before I forward that to one of my friends? I mean, it’s important that I take your permission because that ebook is available only for RSS reader.

I would also suggest her to subscribe to your blog anyways.
