Bravo! Thank you so much for such an easy-to-follow tutorial. I can’t wait to get started adding my posts into WP.

@Karen, you can begin adding posts right now if you want. They are separate from the design. Knock yourself out!

Thanks for your tutorial and for bringing attention to the kitchen sink button! I’ve been squinting my eyes in the html view for far too long to add my h3 tags! I’m so happy there is an easier way to do this. My eyes thank you also.

    Great tutorial! Thank you!

OK, so I was so excited to use the kitchen sink button, but I notice it’s not on my editor! I have the WYSI-Wordpress 4.1 editor plugin. And I have WP version 2.5.1. I also have CFormsII. But the only button next to it is full align. No Kitchen Sink. Any suggestions?

@Mary-Lynn - Try deactivating the WYSI-WordPress 4.1 editor plugin and see if that does it.

Yeah, I tried that too. No dice. Is there another editor plugin that you would recommend?

@Mary-Lynn - Silly question, but you are using the visual editor and not the code editor? The kitchen sink button does not display in the code editor.

Otherwise, it should work out of the box. If it doesn’t, then you can remove all but the most necessary of plugins, upgrade your WordPress, and see if that fixes it. The automatic upgrade plugin makes this easy (that would be one you leave activated).

I’m using the visual editor. I’ve upgraded to the WYSI-Wordpress 5 editor And I’m using WP version 2.5.1. What’s funny, is that when I deactivate the the WYSI editor, and just use the old WP version…I only have the code editor with no option for a visual editor. Even when I type in text and save. Very strange.

@Mary-Lynn - In that case, removing the plugin entirely would probably do it for you.

I got it! I did as you suggested, and removed the plugin. But I was STILL seeing just the html view. Then I found this post: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/165449

Turns out, the option to see the visual is in your profile, rather than in the settings-writing (wouldn’t that seem more logical?). So, I now have the kitchen sink and other bells and whistles and I’m thrilled. Thanks so much!

@Mary-Lynn - Yes, great! That was what I asked you in comment #8. :) Happy to see that everything is now fine!
