Client Interview - Sue Bette of Feelgoodeats.com Talks about Blogging

If you can’t see the video in your email or reader, you can watch it here.

Nearly all of my clients live too far away for me to ever meet with them in person. Feelgood Eats author Sue Bette has been living in California but is moving to Vermont in a few weeks. She was in town this week to take care of some chores and she wanted to check out the Montpelier Farmer’s Market. We got together at Capitol Grounds to meet and then went out onto the State Street bridge over the Winooski River to film a short interview.

Being a chef and preparing to open a restaurant, she doesn’t have huge amounts of time to blog and socialize on Twitter. But she manages to post 2-3 times a week and spends a few moments on Twitter when she can. Even with that level of output (many bloggers post more frequently and spend more time on social media), her blog still grows.

All the new stuff to learn when getting involved in social media and the effort that goes into blogging was a surprise to her, she says. But she’s risen to the challenge and is doing well. Networking by forming genuine, authentic relationships with others in the same or related niches pays off in the long run, as she is discovering.

Part way through the interview, she surprises me when I ask her "what’s next" for Feelgood Eats! It’s great news, as you will see.

If you like great recipes and interesting "foodie" links, you should follow Sue on Twitter. You can check out her blog at http://feelgoodeats.com. If you like what you see there and you’re interested in seeing what I can do for you, check out my business blog consulting services.

P.S. - As you can see, being my client means you get a little direct promotional help from me, as well. :)
