Remarkablogger WordPress SEO Teleseminar

by Michael Martine on September 22, 2008 · 17 comments

On October 1st, I’m holding a teleseminar on WordPress SEO. It’s going to give you specific information and actions you can take to improve the search optimization of your WordPress blog. Why am I doing this? There’s a lot of information on the web about SEO. Tons of it, in fact. But that information often is…

  • Inaccurate.
  • Poorly-written or incoherent.
  • Out of date.
  • Not specific to the WordPress blogging software.

And… you can’t ask specific questions and get specific answers related to your blog.

So, even though there is much information out there about SEO, people are starving for real, actionable information they can take away and do something with immediately.

I have done very well for myself in search. I’ve been in the top half of the first page of Google search results for my main keyword for over half a year (between the #4 and #2 positions–these things fluctuate), and prior to that, I was moving up in the search results with noticeably higher placement every few weeks.

Anybody can improve their own blog SEO if they:

  • Know what steps to take.
  • Have trustworthy information.
  • Know how to spend their time wisely.
  • Know the correct priorities.
  • Have the right tools.

If you were to engage my services, we could get you rockin’ with effective SEO strategies and tactics for your blog, so that you place higher in the search rankings and increase search traffic to your blog. You would have me all to yourself.

SEO Survey Results

A while ago I put up a survey about blog SEO, and the responses have been revealing. Here are results from that survey:

  1. Most of the people who responded considered themselves intermediate in their knowledge of SEO.
  2. The number one challenge for most was time management for SEO activities.
  3. When asked how much professional SEO services should cost, the average price suggested was about $135 per hour.

Here are some other results of the survey:

Remarkablogger WordPress SEO Teleseminar – Oct. 1st 8:00pm Eastern

Clear your calendars for the evening of October 1st, because that’s when I’m holding a teleseminar on WordPress SEO, and you’re invited. The seminar will be 90 minutes long, and will cover these topics:

  1. Your SEO Toolbox: What to Use
  2. SEO a Post Step by Step
  3. SEO a WordPress Theme
  4. Off Page Factors: Backlinks and PageRank
  5. Q&A Session

As you can see, I’m addressing the most pressing pain point right away: having enough time to learn SEO. You are going to receive a wealth of valuable information in only 90 minutes. SEO is important enough that anyone who really cares about their blog’s search rankings and search traffic can invest 90 minutes of their time for this.

A live event with people speaking is faster and more information-rich than reading text. Live means you can ask questions, which is something you can’t do in audio or video. Note the last segment is a Q&A session. And not a lame Q&A session, either, but at least 15 minutes long (We’ll even go over the 90 minutes for this if we have to).

Think About It – Is This For You?

I want you to think about whether this teleseminar is right for you. If you’re running a business, being on the first page of Google SERPs is essentially money in the bank. But this teleseminar may not be for you. This will not be for absolute beginners. This seminar is not for you if:

  • You don’t know what a keyword is.
  • You don’t already know how to conduct basic keyword research.
  • You don’t know what a backlink is.
  • You’ve never even heard of Google PageRank.
  • Your blog is hosted on a free service like Blogger or WordPress.com

Tomorrow: WordPress SEO Teleseminar Info Continues

This post is getting kinda long. I haven’t even described what’s in each of the six topics! I also have some more survey information to share with you.

You probably have questions. I know the number one question will be “how much?” but it’s not time to reveal the price, yet! You know I can’t do that until I’ve “made my case” for the seminar. I want you to understand the value and results you’ll get out of it, first. If you have questions or thoughts you’d like to share, please let me know in the comments below or contact me directly. You can email me at michaelmartine@gmail.com. In the next post, I’ll address concerns and answer questions, plus further explain what’s involved in the seminar and what you’ll get out of it.

UPDATE: I continued a description of the seminar and put in the registration button here in the WordPress SEO Teleseminar – More Info post.

I swear I already commented on this post…but it says it is a new post…and I can’t see my comment. Is it new?

There’s some useful information in that research, thanks for sharing it.

It makes me wonder, though: what percentage of readers to your blog are SEOs? Not just bloggers, but bloggers and optimizers/marketers?

Ryan, there was some kind of hiccup in my publishing that caused the same post to publish twice. It’s a glitch in the Matrix. Nothing to worry about. You didn’t see a thing. :)

Sorry about your previous comment, in which you asked if the seminar was going to be free. My reply (which was also lost) was that it would be valuable, but not free.

Tanner, that’s a good question. This seminar is for people who are not SEOs as a profession, but who already a bit about it and need more.

Michael – looking forward to learning more about this hot topic.

“My reply (which was also lost) was that it would be valuable, but not free.”

I am going to steal this line from you. Brilliant.

“Valuable, but not free” is excellent!

This is going to be a terrific session. There’s so much SEO info floating around, and it’s hard to sort through it all and find the stuff that’s really worth the effort. Not to mention throwing out all the outdated stuff.

Sonia, even in the last 6 months things have changed, what with Google deciding to index blog posts so quickly now.

All my blogs are indexed almost weekly now, and my other non-blogger sites were a nightmare to get indexed. I don’t understand why, I thought relevent content was the key?

It looks to me like this research was presented mostly to seo professionals and not to bloggers as a whole. Could you share these statistics of poll takers if they are available?

@Wes – the only group the survey was presented to is my blog readers and Twitter followers. A healthy number of them identified themselves as intermediate in their knowledge of SEO, the bulk as beginners, and a few as slightly advanced and advanced.
