Online Since 1997, Blogging since 2000
I’ve been making websites and exploring online since 1997. I made my first blog in 2000 with Blogger, and still have a few Blogger blogs. My own blogs are testbeds and examples for what I have to share with you to help you be a better blogger.
How Can I Help You?
My mission with this blog is to help people become better bloggers. I do that through all the free content and free WordPress themes, here. But often, people need more help than can be provided by reading some blog posts. I am available for hire as a blog consultant.
My Blogs
GoogleTube Video of the Day
I run one of the first human-filtered video link blogs called GoogleTube Video of the Day. Originally, it was called Google Video of the Day. I just call it GVOD for short. I started it near the end of October in 2005. I put myself in the right place at the right time and did the right thing, and it got some attention, press, and links. Everything I know about blogging successfully goes into GVOD (well, into every blog of mine!). Now personal video blogs are everywhere and “social” video sites where people vote on videos proliferate.
Caramel Cortex
Caramel Cortex is a blog dedicated to electronic music videos. I have always loved electronic music, but it’s been hard to hook up with like-minded people unless I go online. Similar to GVOD, I post videos that I find on the web and write about electronic music artists and trends.
YouTub
YouTub is a whimsical video blog I started just to have some fun. It’s videos only of people, animals, or things in bathtubs. I’m pretty sure everyone who visits it does so by accident! Depending on how it goes, I might keep it or I might let it go. It’s been fun, but I’m not as personally invested in it.

Distant Seconds is a microblog of mine that is purely personal.
My WordPress Themes
My Wheatgrass and Sapphire WordPress themes seem to be popular. Sapphire can be selected as a theme for users at WordPress.com, the free hosted version of WordPress, the blogging system used for this site.
More About Me
I live in Montpelier, Vermont with my lovely wife, Denise, my stepdaughter, and grandchild. I have twin stepsons who are carpenters/builders (and one is also a model!).
